What to do if the WordPress blog changes the site address (URL) and cannot log in?

3:54 am, July 12, 2024 Website Tutorial 0 0 17 0

When you change the site address of the wordpress program and save the settings, if you find that you wrote the wrong address and want to change it, you will find that you can’t log in at all. You may find the directory and add wp-login.php, open it successfully, but enter the correct username and password and click login and you can’t return to the website. What to do at this time?

The solution is: use phpmyadmin to modify the database directly

This method is very direct, because wordpress will save this information in a table in the database. Find this table, change it, and everything will be normal. But the question is which table to change?

The answer is to change the option table. Open your phpmyadmin and you can find this table in front

Click the browse button next to it, you will see all the fields in the option table, and change the value in siteurl to the correct one

Don’t be afraid of this problem in the future.
